Just off the coast of Hoi An, Cham Island (Cu Lao Cham) is a protected biosphere reserve fringed with palm-lined beaches and vibrant coral reefs. This easy-going daily group tour takes the hassle out of the trip, with round-trip transfers from central Da Nang and Hoi An.
Along the way you'll discover a traditional stone carving village, step back in time at a thousand-year-old Champa well, visit the sacred Hai Tang Pagoda, and enjoy a relaxed snorkeling session among colorful fish and corals. The day is rounded off with a family-style seafood lunch and free time to swim, sunbathe, or unwind in a hammock by the sea.

7:30 AM: Hotel pickup in Da Nang, Hoi An, or Cua Dai Port.
Along the way we stop at a traditional stone carving village near Marble Mountain, where skilled artisans shape marble and stone into intricate statues and souvenirs across hundreds of workshops.
We then board a speedboat to Cham Island, part of a protected marine biosphere reserve.
On the island we explore the Marine Protected Area, visit a thousand-year-old Champa well steeped in local legend, and stop at the sacred Hai Tang Pagoda.
Next, we head to Xep Beach for a snorkeling session over clear water, coral reefs, and abundant marine life (optional scuba diving available at extra cost).
Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed family-style seafood lunch, then free time to swim, take photos, sunbathe, shower, or rest in a hammock.
Around 2:00-2:30 PM we return by boat to the mainland, with hotel drop-off by roughly 3:00-3:30 PM.

Do I need to know how to swim to join the snorkeling?
No. Life jackets and snorkeling gear (mask and snorkel) are provided, and the guide stays with the group — you can snorkel at your own comfort level or simply relax on Xep Beach.
What's included in the $59 price?
Round-trip hotel transfers from Da Nang or Hoi An, the two-way speedboat, an English-speaking guide, snorkeling equipment, a family-style seafood lunch (vegetarian available), bottled water, travel insurance, entrance fees, and shower and hammock facilities. Scuba diving, tips, and a public-holiday surcharge are extra.
What time is pickup and when do we get back?
Pickup is at 7:30 AM from your hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An, or from Cua Dai Port — please be in your hotel lobby 10 minutes before departure. The boat returns to the mainland around 2:00–2:30 PM, with hotel drop-off by roughly 3:00–3:30 PM.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour depends on good weather; if it's cancelled due to sea conditions you'll be offered another date or a full refund. Note the speedboat can be bumpy in rough seas, so pregnant travelers, elderly guests, and anyone with health conditions should take care.
Can I scuba dive instead of just snorkeling?
Yes, optional scuba diving is available at Xep Beach at extra cost — it's not included in the tour price.
What should I bring?
Sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, a towel, and a waterproof phone case. Showers and hammocks on the island are included, so you can rinse off and rest after snorkeling.
Can children join the tour?
Yes — it suits most ages from 0 to 70. Infants must sit on laps and children must be accompanied by an adult; the group is capped at 21 travelers. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 24 hours before the tour for a full refund. Cancellations less than 24 hours before, and no-shows, are not refunded.
