Pickup is around 8:30 AM in the Phong Nha town area and the tour finishes around 3:00 PM. In between you kayak roughly 3 km into Phong Nha Cave, hike about 1.5 km inside, swim in the underground lake around 1:00 PM, and have a picnic lunch at 1:30 PM.
No experience is needed. Your guide gives beginners a short paddling lesson at the cave mouth so you can practice before heading into the cave. A moderate fitness level is recommended, as the tour also includes swimming and climbing over boulders.
Please bring swimwear, a towel, and a change of dry clothes, plus a waterproof bag for your phone or camera. You'll get wet during the kayaking and swimming. We provide kayaks, paddles, life jackets, helmets with torches, and plastic shoes (sizes 37-43); you're welcome to bring your own trekking shoes.
