What's the difference between the Deluxe and VIP cabins?

The Deluxe 4-Berth Cabin is $55 per person and is a shared compartment for up to 4 adults - solo travelers may share with other passengers, which keeps the cost down. Arrive at least 1 hour before departure - by 21:00 at Hanoi Train Station (No.7 Tran Quy Cap St.) for the 22:00 train. You must exchange your online ticket for a physical ticket at the station counter before boarding; you can't get on the train without it.

What's inside the cabin, and is there a toilet?

Each cabin has soft berths with full bedding (mattress, sheet, blanket, pillow), air conditioning, reading lights, charging ports, free WiFi, mineral water, cold towels, a dental kit, and slippers, plus a lockable door. There's a private restroom on every coach. Meals are not included - only the VIP 2-berth cabin comes with complimentary snacks and soft drinks.

Do children travel free?

Children under 4 years old and under 112 cm tall travel free when sharing a berth with a parent or guardian. Children over 4 or taller than 112 cm need a full ticket.
